SEKO Logistics Announces the Promotion of Lila Landis to Global Chief Compliance Officer
SCHAUMBURG, Ill., (NOVEMBER, 1, 2023) - SEKO Logistics (SEKO), the leader in end-to-end global logistics, today announced the promotion of Lila Landis to Global Chief Compliance Officer. This new role signifies the company’s commitment to compliance throughout its global footprint. Landis will be responsible for overseeing compliance activities globally and integrating compliance teams in EMEA, Australia, the Americas along with other SEKO locations to better support the company’s global operations and multinational clients.
Landis joined SEKO in 2021 to lead SEKO’s U.S. Compliance program and is a U.S. Licensed Customs Broker, Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer, and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional – International. Landis formerly spent 15 years building compliance programs for importer/exporters including Lockheed Martin, Avient Corporation and Rexnord, and has experience in International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance and implementing global trade management software.
“Lila is an innovative leader who has already built a strong culture of compliance and regulation to deliver a best-in-class compliance program that supports SEKO’s business growth worldwide,” said Char Dalton Smith, SEKO’s Chief Legal Officer and Chief of Staff. “Lila’s expertise and leadership will enable SEKO to further expand and enhance this critical area of supply chain logistics. There is no one better equipped to lead SEKO’s compliance initiatives and enable our company to better serve our global network. We are especially thrilled to welcome her as a member of our senior leadership team, as well.”
"Our compliance division truly works as an extension of our clients' teams, adding specialized resources and expertise needed to carry out their logistics needs," said Landis. "Compliance is one of SEKO's key strategic differentiators – our policies and processes are robust enough to protect ourselves and our clients by doing what is right, but also flexible enough to facilitate business compliantly."
Landis serves as a board member of the National Association for Small Business International Trade Education (NASBITE), organizer for the International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA) annual ITAR conference, leader of a local networking group in Dallas-Fort Worth for compliance professionals and is a member of the Customs Trade Support Network (TSN).
